 Hello hello!

Sorry for the delay. The new virtual practice routine has had my mind elsewhere.

We are currently in a holding pattern. The latest date for return to in-person practice is Dec 19th. 

What you can do currently is continue to practice virtually with the Team. The link was in the last email.

Stay active find time to run and roller ski. Practice the safety guidelines we listed in the latest email as well. 

Hoping for snow but forecast models show sunscreen will be more useful than skis in the coming week or so. 

Updates will be posted when I get them.

I'll continue to see you daily online!

BANQUET POSTPONED

 Hi Everyone,

We just got a call from the District and due to state wide party caucusing all public buildings are closed at 6! This took everyone by surprise. The Tech jazz concert, Elementary conferences etc... it was a miss by the District.

Sorry for the mix up!

The banquet is scheduled for Feb. 25th (tuesday) at Tech in the Commons area. 

Arrival time 5:45-6 and dinner will be catered and there will be cake.

Hello Everyone

Wonderful ski at Sections! SO PROUD of the Teams. You all skied well:-)
Wren did qualify for the State Meet with her 4th place finish at Sections.
She competes at Giants Ridge this Thursday the 13th at the State Meet.

The Team Banquet has been scheduled for Tuesday, February 25th in the Tech Commons. An email with details will be sent out shortly.

The skiing around the area is fabulous. Get out and enjoy the skiing, outdoors and sun. It's been a special winter. Go get it!

SECTIONS, Monday, Tuesday

Monday dismissed at 11:15, bus departs 11:45.
Check the race flyer for race times.
We'll arrive home 8pm ish on Tuesday.

We've talked over the details of the trip multiple times at Practice this week. If you have any questions please e-mail me.

Wednesday (end of season details)

All skiers will come to practice Wednesday. 
Thursday is Jr High Chmapionship (parent pick up in Sartell at Race. We only have a one way bus ride.)

• Thursday Section Team individual practice.North Loop
• Friday all non Section Ski Team members last practice. You will RETURN EQUIPMENT AND UNIFORMS (WASHED PLEASE) on this day!
• We can make arrangements if you'd like to continue skiing the remainder of the winter:-)

What’s coming up...

• Jr high champs Thursday. New location: Sartell, Old High School
• Dismissed at 1:30, bus pick up 1:45.
• Parents need to pick up in Sartell
• Race flyer is up.

Well that was something. Sorry for the Varsity struggles. Sometimes you hit, sometimes you miss. Tough temps and snow conditions. Thanks for remaining positive going into the skate race!!
Super fun seeing all the improvements in the new skiers.

Back to Riverside tomorrow.

I've attached the new race schedule they just sent out below. 
They are doing a wave start for JV instead of mass start.
No South pick up for the Race. 
Bus leaves Tech at 7:30am Thursday. Try to be there by 7:20.
Talk to your teachers tomorrow! Stay on top of your class work.
We will also be missing a large part of the day for CLC next Tuesday.

• Thursday we have the LF Camp Ripley meet.
• It's an all day event so no school.

Friday, Saturday

So we're getting snow just a little bad luck on the timing.

• No practice Friday
• We can't travel on Saturday so no racing for us.
• Check back for practices this Monday, Tuesday

Next week we return to school Wednesday and have a pre-meet practice.
Thursday we have the LF Camp Ripley meet.
It's an all day event so no school.
I believe we depart from Tech at 7:30am. 

Thursday

Things look cold, cold tomorrow! Vasiline is your friend. Let's make sure we have appropriate clothing.

• Rookie skiers plan on waxing Thursday 
• Varsity can leave practice early to go home and wax.
• We will try to sneak in a quick session on the classic skis.

The week ahead.

• Saturday is the Bemidji Meet.
• Flyer is up. 
• The forecast looks a little iffy, the race organizer said he will be making a call Thursday night. I'll let you know when I know.

NEXT WEEK... The Little Falls race is THURSDAY. The original schedule had the race Tuesday. Just want to make sure everyone has seen the updated schedule.

Keep picking single form improvements and committing to that change. Remember a huge piece to that improvement is time on skis as well. Find your groove and keep skiing:-)

Ride share reminder. Please, please make sure your pick up group is covered if you are not at school or coming to practice.
